What We
Believe
The Vision
We began several years ago with a destination of creating an
entity that operated with a sense of purpose where those who had the
desire and determination could have the opportunity to achieve personal and financial success.
And of course, without a healthy spiritual life, success is really
unattainable as we see it.
Having completed college and become employed in
corporate America, I was provided great training in how business is done.
But neither
provided nor nurtured an
environment for entrepreneurial development. They didn't train me or
anyone else to become a business owner.
Later marrying and needing greater income to help provide for
our family,
there had to be a way to
grow a business part-time that could help
us gain financial independence.
I didn’t want to simply switch one job for another just to get a little
more income and still not gain the security my family should have.
Fundamentally, something was wrong with our methods.
In America, most people gain
financial security by leveraging time. Each person is given 24
hours to use daily. Business owners invest their own time as well as
gain the use of others' time by paying wages and thereby, produce income
above the rate of the paid wages. Additionally, financial
security is gained by leveraging money. Having your money at
work is an ideal goal.
In order to put money to work better, we
needed to leverage time. "Time leverage through people
equitably is a great way to leverage time. In other words, by providing the opportunity to make as
much as you'd like by working as much as is required to reach your goals
while helping others to reach their goals." We'd have to go into
business part-time with a goal to become financially secure while helping
others to do likewise.
" Become
an Independent Representative Business Owner that operates independently
but competes collectively."
We decided to build an organization as a labor of love.
To do that, required us to operate in a Spirit
of Giving, not Taking. Because we give - we receive. In other words, "provide empowerment, as God empowers
us, when we commit ourselves to Him."
When originally introduced to
Network Marketing, several years ago, I didn’t commit to the
process because I saw it as lots of opportunities and not enough delivery.
Though I purchased a business, I didn’t do much with it because I
really didn't try very hard.
I did nothing. Poor me.

Years later, introduced to
Network Marketing again, I was bitten. What changed? I changed. My eyes
were opened to my original vision of helping people and I asked God to
show me how I could make this work in a way that would empower others
while helping ourselves. You’ve got to be careful what you ask God for.
He’ll give it to you. Now what do you want to do with it?
Over the years, I’ve generally embraced change when I
can perceive a benefit in the change. Being somewhat inquisitive, I’ve
continually searched for pieces to a virtual puzzle of how to make an
economy that worked better to help my family and others succeed financially.
Having exposure to mathematics, music, economics, and
business, I searched for a symphony – another piece to the orchestra. When
science was put in the context of Technology – computers, I became more
interested in what it would mean for small business units. Especially as
it related to Telecommunications. Computers, the Internet, and
Telecommunications, is making the playing field more equitable for small
businesses to compete with large businesses
for customers!

"It’s the economy," is the
catch phrase we’ve heard in Presidential elections. We must protect
the economy. And it is no less true than in our own communities. "It's still the economy and we
must control a share of it as a community."
Today, we must "understand
paradigm shifts taking place in the business environment and become
quicker in our willingness to accept risk and
commit to the process of
systematic distribution through networked customer relations in this
electronic era."
Education, Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom, Application, and
Commitment, all aligned with God’s Word. This will be the way
of The Candle Group.
